I would search the classifieds, CL, FB etc and if you find a good bed nearby, don’t hesitate. Original beds have 2 things against them...

Search MarketPlace or Craig's List. Of course the area you are in will determine quantity/quality/price but here they are not too bad.

Welcome from Austria. You should be able to find bed parts on junkyards if you have a lot of time for searching. Or get the AMD parts...

I got bed sides for my 84 from AMD and they are very nice and bolted up like factory. Little pricey though
