Yeah, should either be phillips head or torx screws on the inside, should be 4 of them -

@82sbshortbed are there screws on the inside of the tailgate in the recessed panels? That is how my 76’s tailgate band is held on.

Took advantage of days of rainy weather and clayed the Blazer, then waxed and buffed. Smooth as glass now.
