I have a 241c in my k10 that is filling up from the transmission. Everything points to replacing TC input seal. My problem is there are 2 types of seal, a dual lip, single lip. Which one do I use?! The seal was beyond recognizable when I got it out in 1000 pieces.

TC is out of 90-91 suburban or k5 if that helps.

Seriously?

If the seal dimensions are the same between the two (guessing they are, but you didn't say) then go with the double lip seal for durability.

Thank you for the reply. There is a .006 difference between the two and that Is too close to call for me. I can pound in either one. I was just hoping someone had some good 241 info but that's asking a lot on a 72-87 forum

Think of the double lip seal as the upgraded replacement, but either will work.
