Which radiator?

I have a 2 core old brass radiator thats got a leak. My question is should I have the old one repaired or get the 4 core aluminum one from Auto zone 144 bucks?

If its the original and your temps were fine prior, then I'd have it repaired. Should be $30-40 unless it's major. Then take that money you saved and put a trans cooler or oil cooler on it. Summit has them and they'll fit next to the radiator by the headlights. If you don't have AC, you can always put it in front of the radiator.

If I was going to replace the radiator, I would do the big dog radiator upgrade. It's an excellent write up. Link below. Definitely read it before you buy a radiator, and shop around. Don't forget we get a 5% discount with RockAuto as well.

Forget that aftermarket junk and fix the original. In the long run, I think you’ll be glad you did.

I opened the radiator cap today and noticed little specs of what looked like aluminum in the coolant. I shouldn't run it like that right I kinda need the truck to get to work the next two days.

I'd have the original repaired and the have them flush the entire system AND install a new radiator cap.
Have fun and be cool with no cooling worries.

Have fun and be cool with no cooling worries.
I am going to take it out this weekend and have the radiator repaired.
