Do you use the same OD size pipes butted up to each other with a band clamp?
They can be butt jointed or lap jointed with a band clamp. They are roughly 3 or 4 times the cost of a u clamp but well worth the money.

I totally agree... I discovered them working on diesels. So far, I can only find them in Napa though. . Not Advance or Autozone. Never checked Peps

Advance around here carries them they are like 12 something each, but there is an exhaust shop here in town that sells them for 7 a piece and that's 3".

I don't need it too soon... just got done putting a straight pipe in the dime... used those badass band clamps. Should be good for a Lil while. I'll hit you up when I'm doing the work dime. Need to remove the cat out of that.

Did you use the 1.5" wide or 3" stainless with 2 bolts?

And if they get a bit stretched after reuse a bit of high temperature silicone does the trick.

Both, I used the 3" on a butt join and 1.5" on the mufflers since the mufflers slide over the pipe, the kit only came with the 1.5' for the mufflers and the Y pipe, I didn't want to weld the pipes to the header collectors so I just did a butt join on them with the 3" clamps, I can take it all apart in 10 minutes if needed

Before I spend the money on new clamps, I found some u bolts that we're leftover from the install. I'm going to try those first. Any thoughts on where I should put them based on the picture I posted earlier in the thread?
