Torker was never a good manifold and would rather spend $100 on a performer.

I have about the same intake from summit and I didn't care for it. I can't even give it away. Cool that it's that old though.

the single plane manifolds like that are awesome on a car with a manual tranny. but they suck in trucks.

I have used a torker II and a holley street dominator on my Camaros with 4 speeds. and I like them way better than a performer rpm that I have on my 79 Z-28 right now. I will be putting a street dominator on it soon.

single plane manifolds are good for high rpm power dual plane manifolds are better for mid to low rpm range

I thought it was mostly cool because of its' age. Original Torker...kinda pimp and "period correct" for our trucks.

My SS runs a Weiand 7546 and always has but I am SERIOUSLY thinking about switching to a STRIP DOMINATOR.

It runs a 670 street avenger and I've got a line on a 770 , but I can't talk myself into it. Pretty sure I'll switch intakes. I built that engine in 2003? and my current combo is good for 12.78, LoL. 100 runs in a row, 12.78. Something has to change or I'll never see 12.5@100 (which has always been the goal).
It just depends. Ima swap gears first and I'm almost willing to bet that going from 3.73 to 4.56 will git r dun. I run out of second gear some 200 feet off the traps and have to shift, it kills me.

Besides the point. Cool intake!! If Babe was a hot rod I would definitely run that.

Here's a cool article I found the other day.

Hahaha! It's brutal. :(
Thing is, my rear is wildly stock and unmolested. Switching to Powerglide has been considered, but i've got $1200 in my th-350. Concerned that as soon as I start jacking with my 8.5 inch 10 bolt ima have more in IT than I do the engine!
All steel/all motor/10 inch tire. It's a money thing...
