So I'm back up in the midwest visiting family and my dad has a 77 square body in the trees, the only thing not ripped to **** is the vent windows, which I need!! My truck is an 86, will the glass work on my truck? and possibly the frame too? Thanks!

I think the vent windows are 73-80, and 81-91'.

They changed the shape of the frame, and the glass thickness.

No problem. I ended up snagging a replacement for mine from an 87'. Junkyard is your best bet, just need to find one in good shape.

I've had to replace both of mine. One's bottom hinge was broken and the other got broken out by a piece of hail. I paid 15 each for them on separate occasions at the Pull Apart junk yard. if you can afford to wait until you find some with good seals. One of mine is better than the other but neither leak, although the crappier one gets terrible whistling at 55+ if I don't crack the window just a smidge.

I'm pretty sure they interchange as noted by retro. Difference between them is thickness and the way the latch works. early ones didn't have the saftey buttom to keep them from being opened as easy from the outside. You will have to use your window rubber track out of your old one tho since your door window is thinner to keep it from binding up when you roll window up and down.
