So I have a bone stock 1985 sierra 1500 shortbed and I want to lift it 4 inches. I would like to put 33" tires on it. a Tuff Country kit on line comes with 4 leafs, 4 shocks, u-bolts and all necessary hardware. I was wondering if there is anything else i would need to buy that isnt included in the lift kit package...like is my steering or brakes going to need extending? Will i need to rotate my driveshaft?
Any thoughts or recomendations much appreciated!
Thanks

It would be better if you extended your brake lines.

And may i ask why a 33/4" combo?

why would you rotate a driveshaft? ever? it's the t-case that gets rotated and for a 4 no.

also no brake lines need extending, they either get bracket drops or the kit will have extended lines.

you do know you can clear 33's stock right? no lift needed. To me 33's and a 4 inch is too much lift not enough tire, we had it for awhile.

The biggest benefit of a lift is frame and body clearance. Many times I would have got my Burb stuck if it were not for the 4 inch lift.

If the kit doesn't come with a raised steering arm, you need to get one.

our rough contry kit had the raised arm, not sure why this one would not.

Also ours had the t-case drops but only for older trucks, like pre 80's. It said for xx-87 not needed.
