I don't think we did on this thread but I've heard it before. when I built the motor it wasn't slipped, because num. 1 tdc was right on with the balancer and tab set at zero.

ok now I'm looking into a couple smaller cams to use in this...

one is a summit or elgin, 218 dur. 450 lift and 106 lsa.

the other same makes, 222 dur and 467 lift with 110 lsa. or cl I forget which they list it as. It's either the lobe seperation angle or the cam center line.

Also looking into when I do this getting a summit head kit, with springs, locks, seals, and then I think the retainers come in it? That way the springs match and are not old 305 springs.

So I went ahead and tried the 5.0 injectors. I'm not gagging at stop lights with the back window open and the SES light hasn't come on once.

I would check those numbers back on the block.

well the 305 heads I got are 601's I guess I missed the 1, because I got 1402260 and e224 near it.

other then that no change, been pulling the monte carlo motor apart and out.
