Alright guys. I'm still trying to buy my first square body and found one that originally had a V6 (262) in it but it has been replaced with a 350. The question is would the stock V6 transmission handle the 350 with no issues? I have no clue if the transmission was replaced the same time as the engine. I'll find out tomorrow.

Gotcha. So my research was somewhat correct on the 700r4. Didn't look into the 375. The data I saw said the 700r4 or the th400. In regards to managing it I was wondering about ratios but I guess it doesn't matter if there wasn't another option. If I had the rpo codes I know but I don't. Thanks for the info!

Don't know yet. Going to look at it tomorrow. Just doing all my homework and learning as much as I can to try to minimize making a mistake.

This truck seems to be in good shape in regards to the body, but of course we'll see. It's an 87 that had the v6 swapped out. Guy is asking $3500. I'm not sure honestly how to value these trucks. I've seen such a range of prices.

On 3th gen camaros the V6's and V8's TH700R4 are the same tranny's but they have different bolt patterns. Don't know about our squares though.

With the V6 to v8 swap will there be a change in motor mounts etc? What I see online it mentions different frame perches for the v8.
