Who makes a good stereo that holds up to being bounced around in a 4X4? The dash was already hacked by a previous owner unfortunately so
I can run anything in it. Thanks.

Back in the day, pioneer made a damn nice unit. A buddy had one in a k5 , and the only time I ever heard the cd skip, was one time when he crossed a big rut, or small ditch (can't recall what it was) at about 20 mph. But it's been a long time since I've looked into aftermarket radios.

I've had this JVC unit for almost a year now. While playing on trails or hitting good sized pot holes on the highway, I never had a cd skip.
