Posting this for future reference. I believe this to be a factory slider back window and original rubber seal. Truck has never been apart or painted from what I can tell.
1983 C10/Silverado.

I can't find the seal on lmc. They got the windows but say seal is sold separately. Figures

Thanks for the pics. That helps a lot, especially the one with the glass printing. A friend has one similar that I thought was original but his glass has a company logo on it. So, probably aftermarket. That description about gasket differences also helps. Thanks to everyone that has replied..

I’m pretty sure the gaskets/seals that are part of the OE sliding window assembly are not being reproduced. And that’s all there is to it.

Interesting. I saw those and wondered if they'd be useable. May need to think about snagging one JIC.

My OE 1984 slider had a black frame, Silverado trim.
Nice part about the tinted slider is that it cuts down the glare from the headlights behind

That’s the same code (A28) “sliding rear window” as my 83 listed above. Interesting that yours is black and mine aluminum.

Wow, I have a sliding rear window that looks just like the one in this picture. I always wondered is it was factory, but never knew.

And I thought about replacing it early on because it didn't seal up very well at the bottom of the track and was rattily. When I realized clear was no longer an option I rehabbed mine. Hopefully I'll never need a seal.....

Identical to mine right down to the markings on the glass.

I also have the RPO code A28 and have the aluminum slider like TLambert posted. My felt runners are trashed and the window is missing the center aluminum uprights. I am in the process of restoring it if possible. I was able to remove it with the rubber surround seal intact. I also have purchased one of the Passport windows from the guy on eBay. It is not the same size but I believe the normal rear window gasket will work. Trying to keep all my options open for this restoration.

I was lucky, mine rattled like crazy when closed and the solution was tweaking the clasp a little to keep it closed tighter. Also it would leak a little water from the slider, not the gasket. The solution to that was a deep cleaning. I think if I remember right the track has a couple little drains and they were clogged. My felt was intact but not very felt like, and I just went over it with automobile interior cleaner and tooth brush until the felt "perked up".

I'm glad your restoring yours, and not tossing it for an aftermarket.
