Wondering what the fattest tire I can put under a ,73 C20 without rubbing.
My truck came with a spare..which I removed..plus 2 additional steel 8 lug wheels.
These tires are freakin skinny and weigh a ton.
Rolling them into my basement was fun.
Dot date was 358.
Im guessing the tires are from 1978...since the odometer reads 81,000 miles...but could be 88,98,etc.
Want to save some weight with aluminum wheels and some fat rubber...
Photos appreciated...

These are old school 33x12.50x16.5's with 9.75" wide wheels on one of my old '85's. Required minor trimming on the front fenders. I would guess a 285/75R16 with an 8" wide rim would fit.
