Rear Bumper

Well I started ordering parts for the rear bumper a few days ago and got the brackets in today for the sport bumper. I Ordered them off ebay cause was the cheapest place I could find. Bumper was ordered from classicparts.com and should be here Thursday. I'll post pics as it comes together. Thanks J Knight for the help.

Bumper arrived today. GM NOS for 135.00 including shipping. I'd say pretty good deal.

Well I got it installed but the gap looks big. Does anyone else have pics that I can compare to? Or am I doing something wrong here?

You can redrill or slot the brackets so you can slide it inward to close the gap.

That's what I was thinking about. Did you do anything to yours or keep stock KNIGHT?

I didnt modify the brackets, just took em out the box and bolted em on.

Most 4x4s are made for a step bumper I believe and the C-trucks made for this style so you may need to re-drill. I dont think I would slot the holes if I were doing this.

It's funny you mention that, I've seen a bunch of K30 duallies lately with stock rear sport bumpers. Odd.

I've seen a mix of everything. I just don't see GM drilling different holes. I've seen C10 with step and 4x4 with sport. I got the rock guards that bolt on top of bracket also. Ill put them on and maybe it will hide some of the gap.

My truck had a step bumper when I got it so I don't see that being a gap issue.

Well got the rock guards installed today and they made it look better. Hides the gap better
