That reminds me of a couple knucklehead classmates of mine back 1987. They were ditching football practice to get drunk, they were trail blazing an area across the street from my house and ended up it a drainage ditch. Beer cans flew all over the place, and they tried to hide them, but little did they know they were in plain sight and a lot of people were watching. :idiot:

Mine was right on the highway lol, i turned on to gravel a little fast and my tires didnt catch, and slid on the gravel like marbles.

Sure. The wheel caps i just used aircraft remover that took the paint off without harming the aluminum finish.

On the trim i started with a wire wheel, then a rough composite wheel and rhen a finer one. Then i hand wet sanded with 400, (shouldve started with 300) then 500, 1000, 1200, 1500 and then 2000. Then i polished with jewelers red rouge and then white rouge, then hand polished with mothers.

I'll be interested to see those on the truck. I can't picture them but I like that you're trying something a little different :)

I think theyll look awesome. I tried the red circle around the bowtie but it was too much. Here is the bulk of the stuff going on the truck. Still waiting on new license plates, emblems and fender lights. In the pic is new door handles, new wheel well trim, door rubber, window felt, feont and rear glass rubber with chrome strip, front bumper, seatbelt, chrome reciever insert, stainless 2" ball, stainless lock, new roll of chrome trim all around truck, polished stainless grill trim, chrome headlight bezels, stainless screws for the stainless drip rails, taillights and bed corner moldings. Im currently sanding and painting the black portion of my rear chrome bumper to repaint gloss, also in the pic is new wiper arms.

Got the new side markers in. Also put together the new chrome and stainless hitch reciever setup. Also, my bumper i bought 3 years ago was unfinished and rusted badly so on this new.one i sanded with acotchbrite and then adhesion promoter and then primer and gloss black. Hopefully that keeps the rust off for longer.

Wire wheeled and primed and painted the front bumper brackets. Came out awesome. Too bad youll never see em lol.

Cant wait to get the truck back so i cwn get under there with a wire wheel and clean and paint the rest of the frame and rear end. Ive got new shiny hardware for the shocks so youll see that from the rear.
