hi guys my name is Harley, im looking at getting a 78 sb stepside 4wd. its been rolled and needs a new cab. will a 2wd cab fit? is fhere a difference?

You got to take the hump out of the floor of the old cab and put it in the new cab. I was able to put a 2WD Burb body on a 4WD Burb frame without modding the floor hump but only because the transmission crossmember was dropped due to having a 6" lift kit on that frame.

ok so the 2wd cabs have a hump in the floor for the trans?

I ran into an issue here but mine was because of wrong carpet .. but auto has a low hump not removeable and manual has a high hump removable.. I think 4wd has a raised back section also for transfer case but could be wrong on that..

You got to cut out the hump on the 2wd cab and swap in the 4WD hump. Or a body lift.
