just got a painless performance kit for my 700r4 because previous owner(s) of my 84 c10 removed wiring for all sorts of things and possibly the ecm. esc removed with plain hei distributor, it has a carter quadrajet with no electronic hookups (possibly off older truck)?... the kit instructions call for ported vacuum and the only ported vacuum source i have found is on the front near base plate slightly on pass. side of carb. which i have hooked my vac. advance to. was wondering if i can hook a vacuum tee to the ported source and run vac advance and the vac switch for the transmission together? or if this would cause something to not work properly? thanks

I can't think of any problem with that. Being the older carburetor it may not have the ports on the back.
