You're going to need a DeLorean, flux capacitor, and 88 mph to find that material.
Let me ask the guy that does my upholstery. He knows where there is a "secret" supply of OEM fabric for GM trucks. He just got me OEM cloth for my 1986. If you can supply the RPO number for the color/pattern, I will have him check for price and availability. Below shows a seat he did for me a couple of years ago in Charcoal - the seat for my latest restoration hasn't been done yet.
I don't think any upholstery shop is going to want to do just the seat section on the driver's side - they may do just the whole bench or seat back, but probably just not sections. The material to do an entire seat (bench and back) goes for about $400 - and about another $400 for labor. He's in Nashua.
I don't think the '86 style fabric is hard to find actually. Seems to be identical to the fabric used in a bunch of 80's and 90's Pontiacs.
Oh yeah, is that so? I'll kick his Greek ass - he made me think it was all but gone and he was some kind of hooked up upholstery guy with connections.
You needed the original cover I put on my seat. I thought it was black when I bought it.
