So LMC's shipping costs are too much for me and Rock only has the basic mechanical stuff...is there any other supplier with extensive square-line parts?

I mean for the hard to find goods like nuts & bolts, trim, interior etc...

Thanks guys, neither has the bits I'm looking for I'm afraid.

Any other thoughts, or is LMC really THE source?

Classic Parts is NE of Kansas City and LMC is SE of Kansas City

I know Classic on the mo side you can walk into the retail location to save on shipping, which when i start ordering dash pads and patch pannels i may make the 3 hour trek up there.

Here is a partial list, in no particular order, of vendors who carry - or specialize in - parts for 1973- 1987 GMC/Chev trucks:

http://www.usa1industries.com/

http://parts.nalleygmc.com/,

http://www.classicindustries.com/

http://www.americanclassic.com/

http://www.brotherstrucks.com/

http://www.truckandcarshop.com/7387.html

http://www.classicparts.com/1973-198...departments/8/

http://www.classicpartsusa.com/categ...86_Truck_Parts

http://www.dixietruckworks.com/catalogWhole.htm

http://www.ecklerstrucks.com/

http://www.kanter.com/

http://www.gspp.com/ (Golden State Parts)

http://www.lmctruck.com/

http://www.tuckersparts.com/

http://www.rockauto.com/

http://www.stockinteriors.com

https://www.quad4x4.com/ (Drive train)

They all have their specialties so it is hard to do "one stop shopping". Rockauto has a lot of mechanical parts. Classicparts.com has some good OEM interior parts.

Bottom line - you really have to shop around. Get paper catalogs from as many vendors as you can. It is way easier to have the catalogs open in front of you and flip back/forth between them than it is to keep juggling tabs in your browser.

AWESOME, thanks for posting that list!

What is discouraging with many of these places is their freight charges. I think they are dinging us by doubling the freight costs to keep their list prices low

Classic Parts of America charges a flat 10% of your total invoice for shipping - I find that works out to be the cheapest most of the time.

BTW - watch out - there are many vendors with the word "classic" in their name.
