Sitting at an idle or while driving, the oil gauge will flicker alittle bit. Has anybody ran into this before and found the fix. I have a wiring diagram for the truck and trying to trace all the wiring. It is a 86 chevy silverado k20 with stock gauges. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure it's a gauge issue? Might just be a fluctuation of oil pressure. If your convinced it's in the gauge system I'd put a new oil pressure sending unit in it. It's a cheap easy start anyway.

Mine has done that for at least 10-12 years. I've never had a pressure problem though. Actually, I can usually bang on the dash a few times and it will stabilize.
