Hi Everyone ,

I own a 1986 Chevy Stepside , I bought it brand new from Classic Chevrolet in Mentor, Ohio and I am trying to find out how many were built in that year with the options mine has . 4.3L V6 with 3 on the tree Rochester quadrajet 4 barrel . Any help would be greatly appreciated .This truck is all original 66,000 miles

Welcome. @Keith Seymore could speak to the rarity of it better, but I’m thinking in terms of how it’s optioned, it favors the rarer side of the spectrum. The 4.3 was carbed for two years in trucks, and in the cars it started out fuel injected. I couldn’t remember if the little three on the tree was around until ‘86, but I’m pretty confident it was gone by ‘87.

That's a good lookin truck. I didn't know they offered 4 barrels on a 6 banger.

Thank You , she's my baby bought it new when I was 20 , my dad used to yell at me about not driving her in the winter , haha and washing it everyday in the summer . Its all original 3 speed on tree and Rochester quadrajet with wood bed . I figured it was rare any way to find out how many were made with those options . C10 custom , black original paint . Thanks for any help .

I was wondering how that truck has lasted in Cleveland since '86 and the body isn't rusted out.
Good job keeping it safe from the road salt.
