How are you guys with aftermarket mudflaps attaching them? I'm looking at some 12" x 18" universal ones that are basically flat. But..looking at the truck I can't just bolt them to the fender/wheelwell. Different issue from the front to rear. Are custom homemade brackets the answer?

Yes. Custom DIY.
