Hello all, name is Kelly. This is my baby. 87 Silverado shorty with the TBI 350. Inherited about 5 years ago when my Grandma (original owner) passed away. Been kinda reluctant to do anything to it until now. My son just turned 11 and I promised him we would make it the way he wants. Plans now are mild static drop, keeping stock rally's, cowl hood, phantom grill rear roll pan, new paint, wing window ELIMINATION, and a couple of mile performance upgrades. He may be 11, but he's helped me with a number of the cars i've built and he appreciates small things like the stock wheels and 2 tone paint. Just wants to bring it into the 21st century a little bit.

Thanks, Dont know if anyone else would be interested but I figured Id share my other pride and joy at the moment. Its a 1996 Buick Riviera, supercharged 3800. Cam, headers, 3.25" supercharger pulley, point higher compression and built to run at high rpms. Just crossed 1000 miles on the motor. Our track/dyno opens back up in March and I'll prolly run it, sell it and start on something new. Should run high 12's low 13's.

Nice truck Kelly, when I replied to your pm about tires, I probably should have added that I have 6.5in van rallys on the front and 10in widened rallys on the rear.

Yeah my son really liked your truck, and the more we looked at the couple of pictures we found of it I saw the difference in the wheels.

Welcome to the forum! Dont be discouraged if you dont see that much about lowered trucks here, they're here just the owners dont post very often. Work, life, family, etc takes up a lot of time. And by all means feel free to contribute to the lowered section of the forum! We will help as much as possible, and spur those into helping that we know could give a hand!

Thanks all. Yeah we have discussed keeping the red/white or going solid white. Not real sure right now. Personally I'd like him to keep it factory but even though hes 11 he already has his own sort of style so I'll leave that up to him.

Nice truck and defs a keeper as its been in the family since new, working on it with the boy only adds that much more to that square and its nice to see that younger kids are still into the squares, I remember drooling over em when I was a kid with a couple of my neighbor hood buddy's, times have changed since the fast and furious has come out seems lol, should be a cool truck when done can't wait to see some progress on her!
