On my 82 C10 lower controls arm shafts, the factory locating holes do not line up with the locating pins on the crossmember. In fact there’s a pin on the front of the crossmember as you’d expect, but there’s no pin on the rear, just a flush surface.
Got to thinking that various shafts with different hole placements might have been used on this frame for different applications (and caster requirements), such as power steering vs. manual steering, Suburban, delivery van, etc.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Edit: Just want to make it clear that my shafts do fit.
