My uncle bought this truck brand new. For a truck that has definitely been ridden hard and put away wet, it has minimal rust and dints. He installed the 454 in the 80's, and the 4speed/Tcase have been replaced somewhere along the way too, which are still tight, along with the front end.

Ive been an LSX guy for a long time, and this is my first "oldschool" vehicle.

The head castings are from '75, and it just so happens to have 781's.
it has a rod knock, so im doing a rebuild:
-dome pistons
-mild/medium cam with a 4/7 firing order swap
-air gap intake (carb undetermined)
-long tubes with an X-pipe and magnaflows exiting in front of the wheel

Other short-term plans include sound-deadening, an NV-4500 5-speed, steel 16.5x9.75 wheels, '69 style hubcaps, E-fans, reinstalling the original rear bumper,

Long term plans include a full restoration(which won't consist of much more than mild bodywork and a dash pad), EFI, 6 or 8 speed auto.

Etc, etc

Howdy! That's a pretty cool truck, and I like your plans too. Is that an auxiliary tank on the driver side?
