Like my status says i want a crew cab square! I been looking for awhile, my gf thinks its a bad idea since i have so many trucks.... i seached on autotrader to give myself and idea and I found an 84 crew cab black, for about 5 grand. What kinda price should i expect to pay for a truck of this nature? I would love to find a 91 crew or a 2500 burb. I dont need a duel rear wheel but they sure are bitchin!

It probably mostly depends on the condition of the truck. I'd think 5k would get you a really nice square body crew!! Especially with gas prices being so high I'd imagine a lot of people have a hard time selling them. To get a nice one I'd be lookin' in the 3k to 5k range. I've seen a fairly rough 3+3 that had rusted rockers listed at a little over 2k. I'm not sure what condition that drivetrain was in either.

That truck i saw on autotrader didnt look bad... needed paint and had a few dents on the bed and needed a new door. Couldnt see the rockers. Ya i have to see have to many trucks... i have a 98 1 ton sitting at my barn right now with a seized 6.5 Diesel. Once i find a motor i will be doing that truck up and selling my green 1500 Silverado plow truck. So i eliminate one but gain one haha

man you just missed out, retro posted a listing for a charity auction that had a 3+3 listed, it looked like a damn nice truck, he figured it would go for about a grand.

Its been a few years back but I have seen total rust buckets with no powertrain sell for 1500+. People tend to get more out of them because there just isnt that many around.

Damn it blackdog, there was a sweet one local on CL that I posted here over the summer, you would have loved that one. Old77 knows the one I am talking about, I almost bought a GMT burb off him.

Solid, clean mid 80's truck, it had a grey/steel paint job, 3/4 ton, 2wd, don't remember the motor. I think he was looking for 2 or 2 1/2 K for it. Said it ran great, he owned a few chevy trucks. I tried to get him to sign up here. I treid digging up some emails of pics he sent me but I can;t find them.

doesnt look like its "almost ready for primer" to me, still has alot of patch work to do. Also did you notice it does NOT have the Dana 60 in it, it is the Dana 44. For some that might devalue it 1000 bux. even then its defintly got potential
Here i fix it for ya

Ya i rather not have a junkyard camo paint job..... I usually like to lift things... this would stay stock maybe some 33's. That truck above definitely is not the truck for me

if you are looking for a clean good running truck with nice paint you are going to pay a higher price.

those are allmost worth their weight in gold.

a solid junk yard camo truck with minor rust is the only way you will find a cheaper truck. or someone that does not know what they have.

i think that one i posted is over priced myself but it would be a good start if it could be had for 2 grand or less
its at 3,150.00 right now i am watching it to see what it sells for.

i like the junk yard camo i never thought of it that way most of my trucks right now are junk yard camo

God damn right, looks like a layer of road salt or dirt on the fuggin thing, figured they would make it somewhat presentable if they were selling it.

Do yourself a favor and go south to get one. It's so nice being able to just unbolt stuff when you want to work on it.

I searched CL in different areas for about a month until I found the perfect K30 crew cab. I paid $4500 for it, plus $500 to have it transported here after a failed attempt to drive it home. It had a rebuilt 454, fresh (but cheap) paint, good tires... and NO RUST!
