So, if I'm reading through this correctly, hubcaps were an option on 3/4 tons.

Yes for the first few years, that seems to be the conclusion.

Those were not available until 1976. I know the book is saying 1973-78 but it is wrong.

If you will look at your pictures, you are showing two different hubcaps.

The dishes on my K20 are about ~ 12" dia and will fit 16" & 16.5" OEM 8 lug wheels.
Dishes for a 1/2 ton have a smaller OD, ~ 10" dia, for 15" OEM 6 lug wheels.

AH, but the OPs truck is a 1974 GMC, thus those would not be correct.

Well, since they were optional the first few years, and nobody seems to remember hubcaps on the truck......going with no hubcaps. Save me some time and money finding the correct ones too. GMC seems to be harder to find than Chevy. Thanks for all your help. Ill probably be starting a build thread soon.
