hey guys,

I am genuinely terrible at navigating forums or computers as a whole so please forgive if this is in the wrong place. anyhow, I am trying to source a cummins 4bt! I have found some used ones here https://www.4btengines.com/used-engines/ but I see the offer remanufactured engines also? I have not come across these before. Does anyone have any advice on which would be better value for money?

Welcome to the site. Depending on the reputation of the group/company rebuilding the engines it can be a great deal or not. Remanufactured engines will be less than new and a used will be less than remanufactured. IIRC, remanufactured uses factory parts and rebuilt uses aftermarket parts. I could be wrong on that though.

I would look at the warranties of each to help decide the better deal for your needs.

Don't know about diesels but usually (IMO), remans are better than rebuilt.
