83 K5, 6.2 Diesel, 700R4(blown), NP 208, no axles, perfect body, nice paint, non opp'd, in guys name, free!

Reason I am torn is if I get it that means all my stuff comes off my red chevy and goes on this blazer and I have worked a long time on that red truck, but this is a far more solid base for a big bad 4x4 and hasn't been beat to **** already with out back registration fees. (CA has extremely high back fees) and I will have another lifted Blazer just like everybody else. To where I had planned on making my truck unique. Ugggh!

See if the guy will split the back fees with you, it sounds like a good deal to me, some good parts there!

When I got my 77 it had a Cert of Non Op. I didn't have to pay any of the back Reg fees, because I bought it that way. The only thing I had to pay that was out of the Norm, was the back taxes on the value of the Jimmy from last time it was Reg. My Jimmy was three years since it was last Reg, but the value was 300.00, that is what I bought it for.

Being that you are getting it for free, the DMV will place a value of 100.00 on it, and that is all you should have to pay. It being a Diesel you shouldn't have to smog it. I would get a front and rear end out of a junk yard, get it running and resell it. Take the money you make and put it into you red truck.

Please bare in mind it has been 17 years since I lived in Cali. Things might have changed, but I would look into it. The only thing you will waste is a few hours at the DMV.

All correct Mr. Clean should be very little associated fees, fees are on my red truck so was thinking of gutting my red truck for all parts for the blazer.

Oh....most definitely, if you don't need the truck for hauling anything, I would gut the truck and put it on the Blazer. If you wanted you could turn the bed of the truck into a trailer that it the same body style as the Blazer, and you could haul big stuff with that.:favorites13:
