I am about done replacing my rear wheel bearings and seals on my 87 V10 and went to clean up my cross pin to reinstall it when I noticed this.

What caused this? Also I'm having trouble finding a replacement one.

Doing one wheel wonder burnouts can cause that.

Best place to get one? No rock auto or local auto parts stores source them.

Look in the yellow pages for a drivetrain or powertrain specialist. 4WD and Truck shops often have connections as well.

The spider gears are likely junk too.

And check the differential carrier - wear goes two ways, eh?

If the carrier is worn as well, now is a great time to upgrade to a limited slip :)

Look on eBay. Mine is junk as well as my spiders. The pin is sometimes sold as part of the spider gear set
