Has anyone else found the removal of the driver side fastener on a tbi egr engine painfully slow and annoying?

I broke the passenger side free in no time at all. The driver side was going at about 1/8th turn at a time and was slightly bound so I couldnt get it loose with my fingers. A socket doesnt fit, my ratcheting wrench doesnt fit, so I ended up with a box end just spinning her as slow as she goes. Fingers cramped, layin on the AC compressor in 25 degree weather, in the dark.

Of course going back in went smoother but damn, that was annoying. On the plus side the hesitation is gone.

Anyone have any tips or special tool they used for this?

Just a baby sized wrench, open side so I can angle it a little bit. It's slow and annoying, but after you broke it loose this time, it shouldn't be quite as stubborn next time.
