I'm doin an axle swap in a K5 and the 3/4 ton axle I'm swapping in was equipped with dual shocks. Is there much difference in the shocks?

It was the heavy duty version. Dual shocks were used to reduce shock fade on rough surfaces. With modern shocks shock fade is less of an issue.
I bought skyjacker black max for my k5, they are valved vehicle specific. Work great, ride quality is way better.

There's a couple of threads here already if you search quad shocks or dual shocks.

Probably not necessary, but there is that cool factor.

I have the same on my k5, black max.
I like the look of quads eventhough they probably aren't needed.
