I know that we all like our stock or mostly stock squarebody interiors, but what other possibilities have we not looked at yet? I know BAC has tried putting in a dash from an early 90's Silverado...looked ok, but didn't fit right no matter what he did. I've seen 50's model Bel-air dashes in our squares and that looks ok, I've also seen one with a 63 C-10 dash in it..pretty cool. So let's show some pics of different interiors in our beloved squares, be it an actual interior in one or just something you think would look cool in our trucks. That includes custom dashes and fiberglass work as well......even if it's tacky lol. I've seen some oldsmobile dashes in the past that would look cool in a square but I have no pics....Retro, I'm kinda' thinking of you when I'm talking about old dashes. You really seem to now your classic cars very well.

Maybe I'm just boring but I kinda like the look of the original dashes in the squares. I can see why you'd go fully custom on a show truck or something but the original dash just goes with the rest of the look IMO.

No, I agree. If you put in a different dash you have to change the door panels up or else it looks stupid. And don't get me wrong I love the interiors in these trucks...they look good. It just seems to me that as much time as people have spent on body, and suspension, and engine, mods etc. etc.....there hasn't been nearly as much attention put into new alternatives for the interiors. Is it because of the old adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it?" OR is it just because we haven't found some awesome alternative? So yes, I love the interiors of the squarebodies and mine will most likely stay stock, just change the colors.....but if I found something out there that topped it, I'd switch.

It's probably the intimidation factor more than anything. It'd be a huge task to graft a completely different dash into any vehicle and then to follow that up by custom door panels so that everything flows and then it just snow balls. That's the biggest reason I never gave it any thought. I'm just not that confident in my fabrication skills that I could successfully pull that level of a swap off and have it look good :D
