What part of Texas are you at? I lived in Spring/Klein and NW Houston area many years back and now back in El Paso.
We have driven through in the past several years going to Louisiana, and boy has Houston grown!!

VA is pretty rough on vehicles, lots of salt and chemicals, at least around Richlands where my dad's side of the family is from. That truck probably has a little cancer but for being as old as it is, it's not bad. For 3k, I'd take a chance on it. Good thing it's not local or I'd probably go scoop it up this weekend lol
