Crossover steering

So Im going with a crossover steering kit for a gm d60 and was curious what year model 2wd steering box would be the best for me?

One of about the same year, '81-up I think. That way you know your steering shaft and lines will bolt up.

Pretty much any square steering box will work even some of the 67-72 (all iirc actually) will work actually. Just make sure that your application matches for hose fitment, here are piloted with o-ring (better) 1980+ or compression 1979 back otherwise you will end up like me with a compression pump and a pilotted box and will require an expensive hose to cnnect the 2, I actually had both and it still cost me 90 bucks at a hose shop to have the ends pit on a new hose.

I believe they make little adapter fittings so you can use your stock lines.

Yea I was going to get one from advance for a 85 c10 and then bring my core up there a little later hoping they don't realize what I just handed them ain't what I was supposed to return. I just wasn't sure if one year model was possibly better than another. Thanks
