When I bought my first project vehicle about a year and a half ago, my 1974 GMC C1500, it was totally farm fresh. Complete with a rotted out stock rack, 40 year old non matching tires, a custom bailing wire trim package, and a whole lot of weight reduction for that sports car feel.
(Looks pretty clean at first glance, but has been Hacked n' Packed. And I did know this before I bought the truck).

Also included with this prestigious package was the totally worn out and gutless 250 Straight 6. Seriously, it was probably making 45 HP at the time I bought it.
The purpose of this thread is to highlight the how these totally worn out motors just keep going forever.
We would also maybe talk about the abuse that many old cars can take and keep going.
And especially talk about how an engine still can be considered good even though it burns a quart every 25 miles, and requires 50 weight oil to keep oil pressure.
Both my 330,000 mile '95 Suburban, and my '74 GMC run great despite being Oil/Gasoline Hybrids.
