Do they still use weights on brake drums or is that a thing of the past?

on the outside of the brake drum most of them will have a tap of metal welded to it, they balance them and use the tabs of weights to keep them in balance, just about guarentee you they are on your rear drums

Hmmm...I've pulled several brake drums in my day, but never noticed it. Next time I rotate, I'll check it out.
