I've seen them. Most are leaky

Yeah...just give it a good look over and make sure it's sealed real well. I think they are cool myself. :)

My '84 has one, besides that trim strip around the inside, it looks identical to the one in the pic. It pops up at two different levels and is also easy to remove completely. You can do it all while sitting in the truck. It doesn't leak either.

I have had an unused one sitting in my shed for about 10 years now - never had the balls to cut into the roof to make the install.

A heads up on these aftermarket roof windows; As far as installation, you're probably going to be on your own. Due to a very high incidence of leakage after the installation, most auto body/auto glass shops will not touch them with a ten foot pole.

Yea I have an old sky-top sunroof in my crew cab, its a PITA. Its one of the huge motorized ones. When I bought the truck it was stuck closed, so I had to use seam sealer to seal it up. It still leaks, but at least now the drains can handle it. I wish I had one like the OP, it looks a lot nicer and looks easier to keep sealed!

I had an old ford pickup, years ago, it had a leaking sky-rooof init when I boughtit. Leaking sunnygun, I removed the durn thing, removed all the previous layers of sealant, installed the spacer brackets in proper, so it`d have a squish affect when the screws was tightened, resealed the goofy thing and it never did leak after that, except for one little drip, right where the ends of the glass gasket come together, a spot of silicone fixed that.
NO, I would never install one in an outfit, I do not like the hot summer sun shining down upon Mine head.

I'd like to get one similar to the OP, but I just don't know which aftermarket kit to trust.
