Adding power booster to brakes at 42 years old

I'm adding power brake booster to my original Front disc brakes, 81, 6 cylinder. I have purchased a re-man cordon booster and am getting ready to install.
I'm looking for hardware issues.
Does the new pushrod mate up with the old?
Can I use the existing master cylinder?
Note that I have 3" of rod coming out of rear of booster, as shown
Any other advise?
I'm doing this to perfectly good brakes as I'm building a 350 for this truck for later install (next year?)

I know all the bolts line up, but I want to go into this job with all the parts so I don't take my daily driver out of service.

Great upgrade. I don't know for certain but it looks like your truck already has the reinforcement plate.

Master cylinder is definitely different.

There are somany different component options need to know what brakes your truck has, 2wd/4wd, diameter of rear drums if it's drums still.
