My last post was for the injectors and for my next question. I have read a few posts and have seen mixed feelings on what computer to install on a 87 GMC R1500, for my 305 tbi to 350 swap? Some people say "get a 91 ish caprice or 87-92 suburban. Mind you I have a 700R4 (27 spline). Doing research it seems as though the suburbans had 350's and 700R4's so my instinct is to go with the 'burb computer and possible install a prom? A little about the motor going in the truck - pre-87 350 block, bored 0.30, mild cam, flat top 4 relief valve pistons. Want to stay EFI! I have read a few swaps but they are mostly for Camaro's.

Well, a 305 chip (PROM) is going to run too lean for a 350 is one problem. The computer in itself will be the same, just the PROM will be different.
