Looks like a standard distributor, definitely not electronic.

Not sure which engine I have...

So delayed reply, but I finally got around to finding the number on the block. Looks like it wasnt a crate motor but something from an F/A/B body from 1973. Engine code is T0412CKL. Any ideas on where to start with plugs, wires, cap and rotor?

    Power Window Issue

So I'm not the greatest with these things, but as far as I can see, the motor in my driver's door (79 C10) is running fine, but is not pushing the window anywhere, and the window is hanging/holding in the track freely from the regulator. Does this sound like something simple where it just...

    Bumper options...

Funny you mention the switch for brights, mine is there and wired, I guess the guy that built it maybe put in the work to do it? I found a bumper on LMC that looks exactly like mine with the lights where mine are for $189, I think I may just go with that, I kinda wanna keep the grill clean...

    Bumper options...

So I have a '79 C10 but I believe when the truck was restored (done 16 years ago, not by me) they put an '81 front clip on it. The bumper is past its prime, and from what I've seen, it's cheaper to replace than to re-chrome. I'm still new to these trucks, and I just want to make sure before I...

Not sure which engine I have...

Hi guys, I'm relatively new to these trucks. I have a 1979 C10 stepside, and I'm not 110% sure of what engine I have. Long story short, the truck was stripped down, restored and rebuilt 16 years ago, and after it was complete the truck was sold to my grandfather. I need to start doing some...

    Coolant Temp Sensor Question

Thanks for the tips, much appreciated! Is the system going to need to be bled or do these older trucks work the air out themselves? I'm used to working on more modern cars and I know how much of a pain in the ass it can be if you don't properly bleed the system.

    Coolant Temp Sensor Question

Hey guys, new to the forums, just acquired a 1979 C10 350. I have a question about installing a coolant temp sensor. I'm not a full-on mechanic, so I just want to check something before I do this. When I remove the old sensor, is the majority of the coolant going to come out? If so, how do I...
