    Performance question

And as far as the vacuum gauge goes, just route the line to wherever your advance line would go. I think at idle manifold vacuum should run above 18 or 20 hg.. Personally I would first check to make sure you have a steady flow of fuel, just because that's easy to start with (no filter issues if...

    8 Lug Vs. 5 Lug 2WD?

Hi, I am restoring my grandfather's 75 2WD C10. The frame is completely rotted through and I found a decent frame from a 73 at a local junkyard. The 73 is a 2WD 8 lug. Is the frame the same from 5 to 8 lug? I'm assuming I can just swap out front suspension components. Thanks, Brian

    Where can I find 10" wide 5 on 5 15" Aluminum Slots??

Looking for 5 on 5 pattern 15" Aluminum slots that are at least 10" wide. Going to pick up a nice set of M/T Sportsman Pros to throw on the back of my 75. Where the heck can I find decently priced slots? I have American Racing slots already, so I'd like to just grab two wider wheels for the...

    Questions about 383

Look at the harmonic balancer. The 400 crank balancer has a large cutout in the side (an indent sort of thing) and a 350 balancer just has the small tick mark for timing. Unless the engine was built using internal balancing, you should have a 400 balancer. I know more and more people are doing...

Best place to buy body repair panels? (Rockers, cab floor, corners, etc.)

Hey fellas, I just purchased an '85 cab to replace the too far gone '75 I have now. I'm in the the midst of doing some body work on this "new" cab and I decided to do new inner/outer rockers, cab corners, and a drivers floor pan. Where's the best place to buy this stuff for a decent price and...

what does a bad torque converter sound like?

So I have a stall converter in my 75 TH350 behind a 383. A few days ago I took off from a traffic light pretty fast and it started making thus whirring noise while moving slowly and a sort of grinding noise when at a stop in gear. Fluid looks fine. It also makes a whirring noise while in park...

    Beer keg gas tank

I've always liked the look of a keg, but I might consider the tanks as well. I guess what I'm trying to do is just eliminate the ugly look of the factory tank underneath the truck and go with something more unique that would go well with the flatbed.
