I've had this LMC keyless kit sitting in my garage for years until I finally accumulated the rods, relay, switches, etc to install the oem system. Remote start will have to wait unless I get a different set up like a Viper.
Thanks all. I've got a manual transmissions so I'm more hesitant to add a remote start. I know it is "possible" to wire a manual remote start but it's not worth the effort/expense for me. I'll look to install the keyless entry in a few weeks when I can get to the project.
I finally was able to complete the installation of OEM PDL in my '87 and now am looking to add a keyless remote. I bought LMC's keyless remote kit years ago yet never tried to install it. Has anyone added a keyless remote to a OEM setup? I prefer to use the OEM actuators and rods as well as...
I finally resolved my issues with installing OEM pd. in my '87 and they work great. I'd bought a keyless remote system from LMC years ago. Anyone know if I can instal it using my OEM actuators and simply bypassing my OEM door-mounted switches?
I'd be very appreciative if someone could find a pair of "power" door lock actuator rods (they are longer than manual door locks). I'm converting to pdl and have all of the other pieces.
Thanks much. Chris
Hi, I'm new to the forum and am looking for the power door lock rods for an '87 Silverado. The power door rods are longer than the non-power to fit thru the actuators. Any chance you can track these down at a pick n' pull?
Chris
