Finding cracked block/head
I have a 1996 5.7 Vortec converted to carb. It runs good. Stays cool- 170! It must have a cracked block or head. It keeps getting lots of brown sludge in the radiator. Also has small bubbles when running with radiator cap off. I'm trying to determine if it is a head or the block? Any ideas?- Fast Ed

Vortec 5.7 carb swap questions
I have some questions about my swap. 1985 3/4 ton 2wd standard cab, long bed, turbo 400, 4:10 rear, 235/85/16 tires Installed a 1996 5.7 Vortec (with serpentine, a/c, alternator, power steering pump, exhaust manifolds) from a 4wd Tahoe- all stock I'm using an stock HEI, Carter...- Fast Ed
