    Pilot bearing on engine w/pics

    installing a new pilot bearing the pilot bearing looks the same on both sides except for on the top it has a little groove that goes around it. Does that little groove mean anything? Does it go towards the engine away from the engine? Thanks for your help. As always.

    Double cardan ball

    Thanks juggernaut I did get it off by heating it until red hot. Put everything back together. It has a 2 inch lift and now about an inch of the spines are showing which I presumes not good.

    I am swapping a ls3 into an 85' chevy k20 suburban w/ muncie465 manual 4sp and for the most part the bell housing bolts line up but not all such as the 12 o'clock position does it matter if they dont all get used?

    Thanks everyone never got it off, seems impossible, I did get it to spin just barely but that was it. Just ordered new shaft.

    Thanks for your reply. Yeah I see a lot of them are bolted. That’s why they say just to replace that part but I can’t replace that part I don’t know.

    One because it’s part of the front drive shaft. There’s nowhere to take it apart as far as I can see and two I already bought new parts for this one.

    There’s a little rubber beveled washer that has a spring that goes around it is that part of that summit racing repair kit

    I knew that I just didn’t know what all that other stuff was called so I can replace all that stuff in that little joint area and that’s what that summit racing stuff is. Thanks for your help.

    Last pictures actually what I’m talking about. I don’t wanna squeeze the tabs together too much but there’s nothing stopping them from squeezing closer.

    Thanks so my info says to torque at 65 but I’m afraid on the lower part of rear shocks. It’s gonna pull the tabs that are connected to the axle that connect to the shocks too tight. I’ll take a picture
