puzzled on no start
Have checked those things out. Most puzzled as it won’t run, at least for a few seconds, when pour gas in carb Using spark tester shows plugs firing. Was running fine a week ago.- kentrx1

1986 truck all original 305 engine and carb. purchased a rebuilt carb and put on engine about a year ago and cranked and ran fine. let it sit about 6 months and got no start---unless i poured gas in carb. took carb off and found rebuilder did not put spring/clip on float so i put one on it...- kentrx1

1986 cold start issue 305
Been working on 1986 truck with 305. Have replaced fuel pump, carburetor, and plugs. Runs perfect once it starts. If it sits for a few days/weeks have to poor lots of fuel in carb before it will finally stay running. Once cranked will crank fine all day. Suggestions on what I check next?- kentrx1
