Fuel pump in tank w/carb
You do need a return line otherwise it will eventually burn the pump up. I have the same thing in my truck. Buy a fuel pressure regulator with a return Here is the one i have to give you a general idea of what you are looking for http://www.summitracing.com/parts/pfs-10658/overview/- chunkyrzr

another "Whats that noise?" thread
I have to 2nd what bigcountry said-with the valve cover off you should have oil all over the place. Either the oil pump needs to be replaced or you have a blockage some where. I would stop driving it until i checked the oil preassure and before it grenades. Oil pump is alot cheaper than a new motor- chunkyrzr

fuel return line
Really not a big deal--good thing i had a lot of 5 gallon cans around since the truck was full--but got the new lines on, put the gas back in the truck and am good to go. thanks- chunkyrzr

fuel return line
I went out to change my fuel lines today and unhooked the return from the regulator and it drained all the fuel out of the tank. So that you know this is a carb 350 with a regulator with the in tank tbi fuel pump. I have had these undone before and never had all the gas drain from the tank...- chunkyrzr

Zinc/Phosphorus (ZDDP) for flat tappet engines
I use shell Rotella t recommended by engine builder. I have never had a problem with it and you can buy it pretty much anywhere.- chunkyrzr

i know i am still new around here, but i would be more than happy to help someone out if anyone is traveling in my neck of the woods -
turbo 400 to turbo 350 swap
If you still have the turbo 400 in your truck i would pay to have it rebuilt before i went with the 350. The 400 is a much more stout trans and you will be happier in the long run. Also the spline count is different from the 350 to the 400. The 350 has 27 and the 400 has 32. Hopefully hotrod...- chunkyrzr

What have you done to your square lately??
it was a 3 inch body lift. Yes i am using the stock holes but when it already has a 6 inch suspension lift he could of left out the body lift. Just can't understand why anyone would want to ride around on a 3 inch puck. It does look better then it did. When i get completely done i will post... -

removing body lift the po put on--what a pain in the arse. Actually had to remove both gas tanks because he put them up higher then the frame. I figured 12 hours probably more like a week. -

binding problem
Wanted to give an update. Thanks for all your help and suggestions This is what the problem was-the rear end is limited slip and i just had the rear diff fluid changed before all this happened. They never put in the friction modifier for the limited slip. All the noise is gone now and no more...- chunkyrzr

binding problem
replaced universals and that wasn't it. Took cover off of rear diff everything looks fine. It still does it but only at idle. If you give it gas it goes away. Next thing will be to go between drive and reverse well on jack stands and let it idle and see what happens. Maybe the back brakes are...- chunkyrzr
