Nice! How are you liking it? I'm more than happy with mine. Got it last March and I've put almost 25k on it. Oil changes every 5k, just did the air filter, gonna have the diffs tranny & tcase changed next time it goes in. current gas prices have me glad I didn't splurge on an f250 like I...- Blmpkn

Power steering sensor/sender?
Whats the deal with this? One wire grounded to frame, the other wire runs up to a plug that hooked into a little black thing that also had a couple vacuum lines run to it.. truck is a 1986 k1500, 4.3 v6 and an sm465. First old gm I've had that has any of this.. of course my sample size is only...- Blmpkn

What parts interchange with the "regular" 44? Like.. shafts, bearings, brakes? Is there a master thread somewhere on the d44? I need to figure out what year axle I have so I can start picking away at making sure its road ready thanks again!- Blmpkn

Got fooled by big hubs....
Pulled a pair of axles out of a beat up half ton, a 14bff and what I thought was a dana 60 (huge hubs, 8 lug) Whelp, upon closer inspection it's not a dana 60. Its gotta be a 44. Bummed that I got duped by the big hubs... but whatever... the pair were cheap enough and its DEFINITELY a ff rear...- Blmpkn

long block 350, looking for suppliers
The dude I bought my square from pretty exclusively uses Marshall's whenever he needs a motor, and he couldn't of reccomended them more. Same thing with my buddys boss, he's bought multiple motors from Marshall's and has always been happy with them. No experience with maabco.- Blmpkn

Pricing on Engines
With all the talk about "wiring nightmares" and such, you can forgive me for trying to help and let the community know that it's much simpler than that. The typical ignition controller people use is 400$ (still pricey, yeah) and doesnt need a distributor. I didn't know about the fancy timing...- Blmpkn

Do people realize an LS can be run off a carb with next to no electrics? It IS a better choice than a "traditional" smallblock, for many reasons. As a Mainer, can vouch for Marshall's.- Blmpkn

What if any current truck caps will fit squarebodies?
Measure your bed, and call your local cap/cover store. They'll be able to tell you if they have anything close enough to fit.- Blmpkn

1987 GMC short bed (bed build)
I'd suggest looking further than just GA for a complete bed. Would be huge money to build piece by piece, even without shipping.
