    thank you 1987 GMC Jimmy ! I took a picture of the glove box sticker. Appears to be GU2. I will try and upload. I should add that I have 20” tires on the rear.

    So.....What would be the most cost effective way to put posi traction in my stock rear end ??? It's a 350 with the overdrive transmission.

    The gearing is currently the stock rear end. Right rear tire spins but other does not.

    My '87 Silverado has a 350 and a 4 speed automatic transmission. All stock. I want a posi rear end. A 373 seems to be the advice I am getting to enjoy it on the highway and get reasonable mileage. What is the recommended set up for this type modification ?

    Thank you ! I will try the mini and even wrap with the starter insulation from DEI. Is you starter wrapped ? JEGS said its the solenoid overheating more than the starter.

    My '87 Silverado won't restart after a short drive after putting Hooker Ceramic headers on. I called JEGS and they said the solenoid is overheating. I bought their starter wrap but it doesn't work. The headers and starter are very close together ! What are others doing to solve this dilemma ?

    It’s still an TBI that has been gone through. The 02 sensors are located into the headers.

    Since I installed Hooker ceramic headers on my 1987 R-10 I have had starter issues. I have a new battery and starter but after a short drive it wont start until it cools down. A very inconvenient problem. I called JEGS since I got my headers there. They indicate the solenoid is getting too hot...

    My 1987 Silverado has over heated the solenoid since I had the Hooker ceramic headers installed. I have to wait for it to cool down before it will start. I contacted JEGS. I got my headers there. They said the starter insulated wrap would fix it. It did not. I don't want to remove the headers...
