    GAUGE CLUSTER RESTO

Thank you for all of your replies. im going to take it off and clean it up and shop around for some different ideas. I may just repaint it and try to get it as close as possible. Fresh paint in the right color will definitley look better than what is there now. just have to find the right paint.

    GAUGE CLUSTER RESTO

Sorry maybe I used the wrong wording. I mean the large silver dash piece itself. Some trucks have black ones but mine is like a fake brushed metal silver look. It's the piece that has all the holes for the gauges and radio and ac controls. I know there is a word for it just can't think of it

washed mine today. just put trash bag over the carb and one over the dizzy. sprayed everything down with degreaser and let sit. then used my electric pressure washer and had no problems. did it without engine running. used air compressor afterwards just to get the sitting puddles out. turned out...

    Kickdown?

Finally got some time today and took the damn switch out and took it apart to see what the issue is. Needless to say I need a new switch. Small parts inside that had deteriorated we're keeping the slide to function as it should. Well at least I know what's wrong and how to fix. Either a junkyard...

    Kickdown?

If push the switch forward it just springs back. I could not find a decent to lock it forward so it would ratchet back either as mentioned in the link from 74 short bed. Hot rod is it the pedal assembly portion that doesn't look correct or the white tube piece. Once again I appreciate everyone's...

    Kickdown?

The rod is there. It seems to be the correct pedal assembly. Its just that when i mash the pedal down as far as it will go, it does not even touch the white part of the switch that sticks out. It also seems that i do not have much travel in the gas pedal. I took the slack out of the throttle...

    Kickdown?

Ok finally went out and found the switch near the pedal assembly. However the pedal assembly does not engage the switch when floored. Does it need to be adjusted or is it my pedal assembly that is out of play? Thanks to all for steering me in the right direction.

    Kickdown?

I have an 84 GMC K2500. It has a 350 with quadrajet and a th350 tranny. I noticed that my truck does not drop a gear when i get on it. I looked to adjust my kickdown cable to hopefully solve the issue. On my quadrajet there are two cables. The throttle, and the only other one is the line going...
